We are currently taking re enrollments for 2012. Please feel free to come in and discuss your child's classes on the dates listed above. Enrollments are taken at the studio 551-557 High St Preston, an initial deposit is required to hold your child's place for 2012

ATTITUDES OPEN GUEST TEACHERS

OPEN GUEST CLASSES with current professional teachers who are excited about sharing all the latest choreographic styles. Open to all Intermediate & Senior Students as well as the general public. These classes will be held on Saturday afternoon at 4.30pm, student will be notified in advance on what guest class is running & the date. These classes are casual and require casual payment when held.

Classes will be posted in advance on this web page so keep an eye out !!!!

MUSICAL THEATRE/VOICE/DRAMA

ATTITUDES now offer: Triple Threat Training with Musical Theatre/Voice/Drama.These classes are designed to train the students of Attitudes with the second & third element of becoming a triple threat. Christina uses a "Singers Boot Camp" Technique designed to train the singers mind & body in song as well as interpret the feeling & emotion of the performance: deliver this in a live audience & incorporate these techniques in a recording studio environment. All students will learn numerous audition songs, monologues through our Voice/Drama classes and have experienced all forms of dance through their current structured classes during the week.

The program's most important lessons remain ethical--to be honest about the work, about yourself: "This is a way of life.

Tania Quotes; "It's a safe space to figure out who you are with teachers who pushed you to your creative limits."- "Take the experience and allow yourself to broaden your range. 90% of auditions now require you to be able to sing and act as well as dance. As an entertainer, do not sell yourself short, become a triple threat now" !!!

Any senior students who are thinking of a career in dancing and the performing arts must seriously consider becoming involved in these classes. All auditions for any full time theatre course, Uni performing arts course like BAPPA University of Ballarat or the VCA Performers course, involve a sing audition as part of your requirement. Do not disadvantage yourself in this area, become prepared!!!!!

Helen commenced her Classical training at Surry School of Ballet in the U.K completing Grade & Vocational Examinations. Extending her credentials Helen went on to gain her RTS Registered Teaching Certificate & Diploma: Anatomy & Technique as well as the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing AISTD Associate (Imperial Ballet). Helen also completed the Teachers 'Link" Courses at the Royal Ballet School 2003 to 2005. Other teaching credits include ISTD Tap Vocational Examinations; Oporto, Portugal to observe & teach classical ballet students at vocational level; Conducted a 4-day course for R.A.D grade 8 students & teachers in Florence Italy; Conducted the R.A.D Regional Scholarship classes which involved creating non-syllabus classes at all levels & teaching scholarship students; Conducted R.A.D London Regional Scholarship classes; Performer Lecture Demonstrations in Classical & Creative Movement as part of the R.A.D's International Assembly, Kingston Town Hall; Royal Academy of Dance Performer at London's Southbank, Queens Hall & Birmingham Hippodrome.

Helen was privileged to study the grade 8 Syllabus under the direction of Dame Antoinette Sybly, as she created the grade 8 award for the R.A.D & later performed it's introductory at the headquarters across the U.K. Other performance credits include 'Triple Threat Theatre Company" U.K at various open air events in London & South England; Performer with Denise Winmill Epson Playhouse U.K; Ceroc Modern Jive Performances' & competition work.

Helens choreographic credits include 'Sweet charity"- London Oratory Arts Centre; 'Oklahoma"- New Wimbledon Theatre-London & Co-Devised, Choreographed & Produced "Time"-DWSD

Catherine commenced her dance training at the Attitudes Dance Studio, Melbourne and has studied Dance for 15 years in RAD Classical Ballet, Contemporary / Modern, National, Character, World Dance, Tap and Jazz. During her teenage years Catherine went on to perform with the Christa Cameron School of Ballet in 'Sleeping Beauty' Soloist, 'Cinderella', Point Dancer & 'Carabosse Gargoyle', Leonard Bermingham P/A- Lead Role of "Modern Day Diana" in a contemporary performance of Diana & Acateon, as well performing solo roles in the School's Spectacular and State Dance Festivals. In 2009 Catherine was accepted into Diploma Business Administration, RMIT University& the RMIT Program Representative & Program Guide RMIT Opening Day.

Catherines passion for dance was still strong and as such she simultaneously completed her Royal Academy of Dance RAD Advanced Examinations gaining a distinction & RAD Grade 8 & Intermediate Foundation once again gaining a distinction.

Helen & Catherine will be conducting classes on a Saturday's & Thursday evenings. Classes are open to students completing examinations & for students wanting a weekly classical class to strengthen their technique further.
