Louren Lourdes...Who travelled to New York to attend the 'Dance Teachers Workshop' on Broadway. Run by 'The Broadway Dance Centre' in conjuntion with 'The Pulse'. Lauren attending classes and learnt the latest teaching skills and techniques, as well as being taught workshops by Wade Robson, Mia Michaels, Brian Freidman and the list goes on.

DANCE FOR CANCER INITIATIVE 'DCI'
to all the seniors who performed last Sunday 29th at the DCI performance. Our firey red number!!!!. Attitudes was also picked out to open th TV episodes which will air in August on Foxtel. Keep an eye out for their performance of "Music, Turn the Beat Around

THE IMPORTANCE OF BALLET CLASSES
I would like to take this opportunity to update parents on our class policies. Our policy for students at Attitudes is that in order to participate in competitions they must at least attend 1 R.A.D Classical Class a Week. This policy ensures that all students are working at a the standard level of technical performance as Classical Ballet is the back bone to all forms of dance, even footballers need to participate in classical classes at times as it helps with agility, strength and elevation !!!
This ballet class per week is compulsory so students are able to keep up with the demands of the choreography, technique & level of standard. It is an ever growing, competitive dance world out there and students wishing to compete are encouraged to continue working to further their core strengths.
Attitudes Students who are participating and attending 2 or more Ballet classes a week as well as Pointe Class & Stretch Technique Classes are developing at the satisfactory standard. However students who do not attending at least 1 ballet class a week will struggling to keep up with the technical demands of choreography and dance requirements of each routine. The level of standard between non Ballet students & Ballet students is evident.
Please note that our policy remains. Students who wish to continue participating in troupe competitions must do one Ballet Class a week. We do not make it compulsory for students to sit the RAD Examinations as only selected candidates who meet the high level of technical criteria will be entered into exams.
However, if you do not want your child to participate in the RAD classical class or competitions please let me know ASAP. These students will still be able to perform at our Annual Concert, Presentation Night & Dinner Dance.
ANKLE & WRIST WEIGHTS. All Intermediate & Senior students are to commence bring ankle & wrist weights to all Jazz & Neo Classical classes. This will enhance and strengthen all core muscles. Your teacher will advise you on when to wear them and when to take them off.
